Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years bakery experience or acceptable combination of education and experience
Be dependable and reliable
Be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Display outgoing and friendly behavior
Have good communication skills
Able to take direction and participate in a team environment
Able to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
Operate bakery tools and equipment
Stand for extended periods and handle physical demands up to 40 lbs
Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain a current Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Demonstrate dependability and reliability
Adapt to flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Have the ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service while ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and floors and removing hazardous debris
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy and examine the rotation of all bakery products to discard outdated or spoiled items
Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
