Job Qualifications

Performs duties safely and efficiently
greets and waits on customers
slices, packages, and prices products
recognizes and reacts to customer demands
takes bakery stock to storage or shelf areas
keeps bakery ingredients or merchandise rotated per store policies and product code dates
prepares baking products and scratch baking mixtures according to department procedures and recipes
assists finishing layer cakes, pastries, and specialty cakes as necessary
loads and unloads ovens using proper temperatures and durations
assists in building department displays for maximum sales and turnover
assists in ordering and maintaining inventory control
assists in receiving and unloading merchandise, checking quality and conditions
takes care of damaged and spoiled products as per procedures
maintains shrink logs daily and reacts to excessive shrink
performs price checks as requested
participates in training activities to improve skills and customer service
maintains general housekeeping and sanitation according to health regulations
performs other duties as assigned
meets physical requirements of the job
provides light supervision and training of other associates when assigned
