Job Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education
Be dependable and reliable with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Have outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude
Possess good communication skills
Be able to take direction and participate in a team environment
Be able to answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping in the department including cleaning and sanitizing work area
Be able to operate bakery equipment and tools
Be physically capable to stand for up to 8 hours and lift items up to 40 lbs as required
Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Demonstrate dependability and reliability with ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
Be able to operate bakery tools such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Maintain and achieve a Food Handlers permit
Be able to stand for extended periods and handle physical lifting requirements

Job Duties

Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
Provide a high level of customer service ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves, floors, and removing hazardous debris
Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products while examining rotation and discarding outdated items
Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality
Answer phones and take special orders
Perform general housekeeping duties in the bakery area
