Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or equivalent education and experience
- reliable and able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have good communication and customer service skills
- able to perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously and manage physical demands of lifting and transferring items
- adhere to all safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
- maintain a food handler's permit
- able to operate bakery equipment safely
- able to handle cash and phone orders
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
- have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- have a food handler's permit or ability to obtain one
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods
- provide a high level of customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment
- stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
- answer phones and take special orders
- perform general housekeeping duties in the bakery department
