Job Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent GED qualification
  • Less than one year of relevant experience in baking, pastry, or kitchen operations
  • Ability to remain on feet and move around or be seated for long periods
  • Capacity to move objects weighing up to 25 lbs independently
  • Ability to bend, twist, pull, and stoop while extending arms upwards and downwards
  • Capability to work on unstable or irregular ground such as slopes, steps, or inclines

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of high school or equivalent GED qualification
  • Less than one year of relevant experience in baking, pastry, or kitchen operations
  • No licenses or certifications required
  • Supervisory experience not mandatory

Job Duties

  • Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines when preparing and baking pastries, bread, desserts, and other baked items
  • Carry out the measurement, blending, dividing, and organization of components for daily baking activities
  • Safely and effectively operate and upkeep baking machinery and utensils
  • Supervise ovens and kitchen appliances to verify accurate cooking durations and heat levels
  • Adhere to guidelines for food safety and sanitation, including proper food storage, personal hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Prepare and dismantle workstations according to kitchen protocols
  • Maintain consistent food quality and presentation for every batch during the shift
  • Keep the bakery/kitchen space tidy, secure, and organized to ensure a hygienic and safe working environment
  • Maintain professional communication with team members and guests as necessary
  • Aid colleagues and contribute to fostering a positive team atmosphere
  • Carry out additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by managers
