Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a bakery or food production setting
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of health department regulations
  • Ability to use baking equipment safely
  • Excellent time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in baking and preparing a variety of baked goods
  • Knowledge of operating baking equipment including ovens and mixers
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Capability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread cakes cookies pastries pies and other specialty items
  • Operate ovens and other baking equipment ensuring temperatures are correct and baked goods are cooked to perfection
  • Monitor ingredient inventory levels order supplies and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Clean and sanitize baking equipment workstations and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Regularly inspect baked goods for quality ensuring they meet the bakery’s standards in appearance texture and taste
  • Adapt to changing inventory needs and production demands
  • Uphold strict health department regulations and company food safety standards
