Job Requirements

  • skill to be upright for long periods without sitting
  • capability to mold, fold, and elevate sizable sacks of flour, sugar, and other baking elements with a maximum weight of 50 pounds
  • capability to manage hot ovens and baking equipment effectively
  • ability to excel in a busy and friendly workplace
  • adherence to health department and food safety standards
  • previous baking experience preferred
  • basic math skills for measurements and inventory

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in baking or culinary arts preferred
  • knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
  • ability to operate baking equipment safely and efficiently
  • strong attention to detail and quality control
  • good physical stamina for standing and lifting
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, and other specialty items
  • operate ovens and baking equipment ensuring correct temperatures and proper cooking
  • monitor ingredient inventory levels and order supplies
  • ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • clean and sanitize baking equipment, workstations, and utensils
  • regularly inspect baked goods for quality, appearance, texture, and taste
  • maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
