Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior bakery experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Capability to lift and handle baking ingredients up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate baking ovens and equipment safely
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
- Good physical stamina to work in a busy environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bakery chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with food safety standards and health department regulations
- Ability to follow complex recipes and production procedures
- Good organizational and inventory management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, and other specialty items
- Operate ovens and other baking equipment ensuring correct temperatures and perfect baking
- Monitor ingredient inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Clean and sanitize baking equipment, workstations, and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Regularly inspect baked goods for quality ensuring they meet the bakery’s standards in appearance, texture, and taste
