Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • physical capability to handle heavy baking ingredients up to 50 pounds
  • skill in operating ovens and baking equipment
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
  • ability to work effectively in a busy and friendly environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bakery chef or similar role
  • knowledge of baking techniques and recipes
  • familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • ability to operate baking equipment safely
  • strong attention to detail and quality control
  • good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of baked goods including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, pies, and other specialty items
  • operate ovens and other baking equipment, ensuring temperatures are correct and baked goods are cooked to perfection
  • monitor ingredient inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • clean and sanitize baking equipment, workstations, and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • regularly inspect baked goods for quality, ensuring they meet the bakery's standards in appearance, texture, and taste
