Job Description

One Off Hospitality has been a cornerstone in Chicago's culinary scene for nearly three decades, known for its dedication to creating exceptional dining experiences across several beloved establishments. As a group, they comprise chefs, hospitality veterans, managers, and creators who share a collective philosophy: treating guests like family and their venues like homes. This approach has made them a respected name in the city's hospitality industry, blending tradition with innovation to deliver memorable moments for every visitor.

One Off Hospitality is seeking a Bakery Cashier and Barista to join their team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to foster genuine relationships with guests. The position requires weekend availability and reports to the Bakery Operations Manager or Head Baker. As a Bakery Cashier and Barista, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating a warm, inviting environment, serving food and beverages while ensuring excellent customer service. This non-exempt position emphasizes personal interaction, allowing the employee to get to know customer preferences intimately and recommend new items that may delight their palate. The role involves preparing drinks according to specific recipes, handling cash and credit payments accurately, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the service area.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and maintains a commitment to health and safety standards. Physical demands include standing for long periods, handling supplies up to 50 pounds, and working varied hours as business needs dictate. The position also requires a keen awareness of potential allergens as part of maintaining a safe atmosphere for all guests. Joining One Off Hospitality means becoming part of a team that values equal employment opportunities and fosters a workplace free from discrimination, accommodating a diverse and inclusive staff environment.
