able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods
experience in customer service or bakery environment preferred
good communication skills

Job Duties

Commit to the golden rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
achieve the highest associate morale by working in a respectful, supportive and totally team oriented style
train other associates as needed
provide premier customer service, including greeting and responding to questions, assisting at the service counter, and offering product suggestions
dynamically sell products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
follow Roche Bros., Sudbury Farms guidelines for cake decorators
write on cakes and prepare products to meet customer specifications
ice, decorate, tray, package, label, price products for island refrigerated cases and maintain refrigerated service showcase
fill customer special orders, including all catering platter offers and custom cake requests including wedding cakes
assist with delivery and setup as needed
operate the bakery department mixer
prepare and wrap bakery-related products
maintain Roche Bros., Sudbury Farms high standards for product freshness and sanitation
organize and rotate stock in the decorator's section of the freezer and cooler
process merchandise according to production guidelines and follow established sanitation standards
practice the cleaner's creed and proper sanitation procedures
stock display cases and rotate merchandise according to company policy and product code dates using first in, first out method
receive and unload bakery products and store in designated area
monitor and maintain the cooler, freezer, equipment, and work area to sanitation standards
keep work area clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards and report hazards to management
operate and clean bakery equipment and tools
