Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- minimum three years experience in bakery operations
- health department training
- ability to calculate baking ingredient percentages and ratios
- effective hearing, speaking, and understanding of spoken word
- ability to read, write, and understand English effectively
- capable of filling out forms and composing reports
- knowledge of baking methods and health/safety considerations
- ability to sit and stand regularly

Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- minimum of three years experience in full bakery operations and procedures or equivalent combination of education and experience
- health department training required
- ability to calculate percentages and ratios for baking ingredients
- effective verbal communication skills
- ability to read, write, and understand English including equipment instructions, company policies, and safety notices
- ability to complete forms and reports
- thorough knowledge of baking methods, safety, and health procedures
Job Duties
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and wear approved uniforms
- assist in receiving and unloading merchandise and verify delivery accuracy
- rotate bakery ingredients and merchandise according to store policy using first-in, first-out method
- comply with scheduled shift operating hours
- control utility usage and follow conservation practices
- maintain housekeeping and cleanliness programs meeting health regulations
- check refrigeration equipment performance at least once per shift
- report maintenance or equipment problems to department manager
- use and maintain bakery equipment properly
- prepare dough and scratch baking mixtures following company recipes
- pan up frozen products and shape bread
- mix and ice sweet rolls, breads, and cookies and add toppings
- operate oven including loading and unloading, knowing proper baking temperatures and times
- operate mixers and other bakery machinery
- assist in ordering and inventory control of ingredients and supplies
- handle damaged and spoiled products per company policy
- record invoices and maintain receiving logs accurately
- track markups, markdowns, and spoilage write-offs in accordance with policies
- monitor product sales to optimize production and reduce waste
- ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
- perform other assigned work-related duties
- maintain good communication within the department and organization
- assist in training associates
- notify management of personnel issues or policy violations affecting operations
- greet customers
- observe security standards and report abnormal behavior
- complete required training like Axonify
- comply with company compliance initiatives
- use required safety equipment
- follow safety rules
