The position in question supports the Team Leader in all aspects of daily store operations including profitability, expense control, purchasing, merchandising, labor management, regulatory compliance, and special assigned projects. With a salary range of $21.55 to $35.00 per hour commensurate with experience, this role is designed for a candidate with strong leadership capabilities and retail experience. The individual will act as a key point person in the absence of the Team Leader and is responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring team members to form a high-performance team with exceptional morale and commitment. Duties involve maintaining creative and effective store layouts and merchandising displays, working collaboratively to meet sales and labor targets, analyzing sales reports, and managing vendor relationships.
This position requires proficiency in product knowledge, advanced understanding of regulatory and safety policies, and strong decision-making abilities. The successful candidate will exhibit a growth mindset, a passion for coaching others, and excellent interpersonal and motivational skills. Technical proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related software applications is expected. The role includes physical requirements such as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and work in varying environments including exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperature fluctuations. Flexibility in scheduling—including nights, weekends, and holidays—is essential.

Job Duties
- Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising
- works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets
- assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor
- demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops / maintains awareness of new products
- maintains good vendor relationships, develops new vendor relations, and ensures all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing
- works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues
- functions as point person and departmental person in charge in absence of Team Leader
- sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution
- fosters and encourages a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale
- maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers
- responds promptly to customer needs and questions
