Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- ability to communicate in english and spanish preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- ability to handle bakery equipment and follow safety protocols
- willingness to work varied shifts
- ability to use manual dexterity for repetitive tasks
- willingness to work in indoor and outdoor conditions
- commitment to adhering to safety and compliance guidelines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- creates an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated that will increase customer confidence and loyalty
- delivers daily conditions that meet company expectations for at shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value
- offers product samples, answers product questions and assists customers in finding or suggesting products
- ensures customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- promotes trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork and communicating company, department and job specific information
- adheres to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- maintains awareness of inventory and stocking conditions and reports discrepancies
- reviews and inspects products for quality and freshness and takes appropriate action
- prepares, packages, labels and displays products for sale
- utilizes production planning tools to produce fresh products accurately and follows discard or markdown processes to reduce shrink
- ensures product is held at proper temperature per food safety guidelines and retains temperature documentation
- ensures company standards for safety, food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained
- adheres to all regulatory compliance requirements including USDA, COOL and DOA
- executes product recalls and withdrawals timely and secures products
- reinforces safety programs and reports unsafe conditions to management
- notifies management of accidents and reports safety risks, illegal activity, theft or fraud
- ensures adherence to wage and hour policies and regulations
- cultivates a culture of safety, ensures all associates have safety training and use protective equipment
- ensures equipment is in good repair and reports safety hazards
- performs other job-related duties as assigned
