Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
0-3 years experience in retail bakery or related field
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
capability to lift up to 35 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs
ability to use manual dexterity and perform repetitive movements
willingness to work varied shifts
adherence to safety and compliance standards
commitment to provide excellent customer service

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or GED preferred
0-3 years relevant retail or bakery experience
bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
ability to operate bakery equipment safely
strong teamwork and communication skills
basic math and inventory management skills

Job Duties

create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
offer product samples and answer product questions
ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating and promoting teamwork
maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
review products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
prepare, package, label and display products for sale
utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products accurately
ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements including USDA, COOL, and DOA
execute product recalls and withdrawals timely
reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
notify management of accidents and report safety risks and illegal activities
ensure all associates are working safely and have necessary safety training
report and assist with remediation of safety hazards
