Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same
- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- strong customer service skills
- exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred
- strong customer service skills
- effective interpersonal and communication abilities
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
- bilingual English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Create an environment that welcomes customers and fosters loyalty by providing courteous and knowledgeable service
- maintain daily product availability, freshness, quality, and value on shelves
- offer product samples and answer customer questions
- fulfill customer special orders
- promote teamwork and communication among associates
- comply with all applicable laws and company policies
- monitor inventory and stock conditions and report discrepancies
- inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
- prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
- utilize production planning tools and follow discard and markdown procedures
- ensure proper product temperature and maintain temperature logs
- maintain safety standards through proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity
- follow regulatory compliance for food safety standards including USDA and DOA regulations
- execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions
- notify management of accidents and illegal activities
- ensure wage and hour policy adherence
- promote a culture of safety and ensure associates receive necessary safety training
- ensure use of personal protective equipment and proper equipment maintenance
- perform other job-related duties as assigned
