Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same
successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
strong customer service skills
exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
0 to 3 years of relevant experience preferred
strong customer service skills
effective interpersonal and communication abilities
ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
bilingual English and Spanish preferred

Job Duties

Create an environment that welcomes customers and fosters loyalty by providing courteous and knowledgeable service
maintain daily product availability, freshness, quality, and value on shelves
offer product samples and answer customer questions
fulfill customer special orders
promote teamwork and communication among associates
comply with all applicable laws and company policies
monitor inventory and stock conditions and report discrepancies
inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
utilize production planning tools and follow discard and markdown procedures
ensure proper product temperature and maintain temperature logs
maintain safety standards through proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity
follow regulatory compliance for food safety standards including USDA and DOA regulations
execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions
notify management of accidents and illegal activities
ensure wage and hour policy adherence
promote a culture of safety and ensure associates receive necessary safety training
ensure use of personal protective equipment and proper equipment maintenance
perform other job-related duties as assigned
