Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and foot motions
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and pull up to 250 pounds
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments including cold and heated conditions
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment
  • Willingness to work varied shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0 to 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives and pricing guns
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to comply with all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, USDA, COOL and DOA standards

Job Duties

  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated that will increase customer confidence and loyalty
  • Deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
  • Offer product samples, answer product questions, and assist customers with finding or suggesting products
  • Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
  • Promote trust and respect among associates through collaboration, teamwork, and communication
  • Maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
  • Prepare, package, label and display bakery products for sale
  • Adhere to company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation and productivity
  • Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
  • Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities to management
