Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and foot motions
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and pull up to 250 pounds
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments including cold and heated conditions
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment
- Willingness to work varied shifts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0 to 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives and pricing guns
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to comply with all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, USDA, COOL and DOA standards
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated that will increase customer confidence and loyalty
- Deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
- Offer product samples, answer product questions, and assist customers with finding or suggesting products
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Promote trust and respect among associates through collaboration, teamwork, and communication
- Maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
- Prepare, package, label and display bakery products for sale
- Adhere to company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation and productivity
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities to management
