Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in bakery operations and procedures
  • Health department training required
  • Ability to calculate percentages and ratios
  • Ability to hear, speak, and understand verbal communication
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow safety rules
  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Willingness to learn bakery production skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet customers when encountered
  • Immediately advise department manager of any maintenance or equipment problems
  • Observe security standards and report abnormal behavior
  • Maintain good communications department-wide
  • Notify manager of personnel or policy issues impacting performance
  • Perform additional assigned work-related duties
  • Maintain neat personal appearance and follow company dress code
  • Follow hours as scheduled or assigned
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Assist in receiving and verifying merchandise
  • Rotate bakery ingredients and products according to policy
  • Follow trainer instructions and company recipes
  • Learn basic baking processes including weighing, mixing, and baking
  • Operate bakery equipment such as mixers and sheeters
  • Assist in inventory control and ordering of ingredients
  • Manage damaged and spoiled products per policy
  • Practice utility and water conservation
  • Maintain sanitation and cleaning standards
  • Regularly check refrigeration equipment
  • Use and maintain equipment properly
  • Complete required safety training
  • Use personal protective equipment
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Follow all workplace safety rules
