The role being offered is for a Crew Member with a focus on kitchen and food preparation duties. As a vital member of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to an exceptional guest experience by preparing food with care, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization, and collaborating with coworkers to uphold operational efficiency. New hires receive thorough training across all stations including frying, cashier duties, food prep, seasoning, breading, and food expo. This provides crew members with the skills and confidence needed to adapt and excel at various roles within the restaurant. The position demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the physical stamina to stand for extended periods, handle cooking equipment, and manage repetitive tasks such as chopping, lifting, and reaching.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • able to speak clearly and comprehend directions in English
  • able to read English
  • ability to read or speak Spanish is extremely helpful but not mandatory
  • wear Angry Chickz uniform
  • non-slip shoes required by safety department
  • able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • able to bend and twist at the waist
  • occasionally able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • use hands to grasp tools such as a knife, spatula, ladle, and other utensils
  • able to perform repetitive hand use
  • able to reach for items below waist level, between waist and shoulder level, and above shoulder level
  • able to tolerate exposure to extreme cold, extreme heat, moisture, and dust, fumes, or chemicals

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook or similar role within a restaurant or food service setting
  • knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
  • ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
  • previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
  • must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Knowledge of company recipes and preparation
  • ensure food is prepared with care and of the best quality, flavor, and presentation
  • maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • responsible for setup and sanitation of the stations on the line
  • maintain clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • maintaining organization, proper labeling, and rotation of food products
  • operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, stoves, or griddles
  • support the dietary department by following specific dietary requirements for meals
  • ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
