Job Description

Busken Bakery, Inc. is a well-established bakery known for its dedication to producing high-quality baked goods while maintaining a commitment to community values and employee satisfaction. With a rich history and a strong reputation for excellence, Busken Bakery specializes in a wide variety of products including breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, and Danish pastries. The company focuses not only on delivering fresh and delicious products but also on creating a positive work environment that fosters growth, teamwork, and employee well-being. Located in a busy production setting, Busken Bakery carefully blends traditional baking techniques with modern equipment to ensure consistent quality and taste.

Currently, Busken Bakery is seeking a full-time Baker to join their dynamic team. The role involves assisting in the mixing and preparation of various baked goods, taking a hands-on approach to every stage of production. The position requires flexibility as hours vary from Sunday through Friday, with shifts generally scheduled from 4:00 pm to 1:00 am. Due to the nature of the business, overtime is mandatory on an as-needed basis to meet production demands. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about baking and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

As a Baker at Busken Bakery, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing dough by kneading and molding it into shapes, applying various toppings and fillings, and operating large-scale bakery equipment such as mixers and ovens. Attention to detail is paramount as the work requires exacting standards to ensure product quality and consistency. Compliance with Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines, and company policies as outlined in the Busken employee handbook is strictly expected. The individual must also embody the Busken Promise by displaying a strong sense of ownership, motivation, and a commitment to producing superior baked goods.

This role demands physical stamina and the ability to handle repetitive motions including kneading, rolling, standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for extended periods. The working environment may expose employees to temperature variations and requires a capacity to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards. Busken Bakery values strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Candidates with previous baking experience or those familiar with food manufacturing settings will find this position especially rewarding.

In return, Busken Bakery offers competitive compensation based on skill and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, employee discounts, health insurance, dental insurance, and paid time off. The company also places a strong emphasis on employee development and ensuring a supportive workplace culture. Successful applicants must complete a background check before employment. For those passionate about baking and looking to grow their career in a reputable bakery with a vibrant team, this position offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dedicated and customer-focused company.
