Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year experience as a baker's assistant in a high volume bakery preferred
- Food Handlers Permit accredited by Texas Department of State Health Services or ANSI
- Ability to operate commercial bakery equipment
- Basic baking skills such as scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, cooking, and decorating
- Knowledge of preparing breads, rolls, biscuits, cakes, creams, custards, fillings, muffins, and pies from scratch or mixes
- Strong communication skills in English

Job Duties
- Assist baker with bakery preparation tasks such as scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, and decorating
- Operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proof boxes, and steam jacketed kettles
- Maintain sanitation and cleaning of bakery utensils, equipment, and work areas
- Monitor and record temperatures of food and refrigeration
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and complete daily production logs
- Assemble baked goods according to orders for patient tray lines
- Serve customers courteously and efficiently
