Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen
  • Knowledge of bakery techniques particularly laminated doughs
  • Ability to handle fast-paced work environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a baker or pastry cook in a high-volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of laminated doughs and bread pastries
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and make adjustments as needed
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries breads and laminated doughs including croissants Danish and puff pastry
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
  • Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
  • Assist in inventory management including ordering and receiving supplies as needed
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
