Job Requirements

  • Prior baking experience specifically in breads and cakes preferred
  • Food Safety Manager Certification required
  • Full-time availability with multi-shift flexibility including early mornings and weekends
  • Ability to work in fast-paced food production environment
  • Commitment to quality and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Positive and adaptable attitude

Job Duties

  • Work alongside the Baker Team Leader and the rest of the baker team to efficiently scale, mix, portion, shape, proof, and bake-off multiple bread doughs, as well as scaling, mixing, portioning, and baking of multiple cake batters all while ensuring consistency and maintaining Levain's standards of delicious quality
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, adhering to sanitation/health regulations and company policy
  • Problem solve with Head Baker, baking team, and bakery management around any issues in regards to quality, quantity, or ingredients
  • Use a variety of kitchen tools and equipment such as stand mixers, convection/deck ovens, cutting tools, rolling pins, lames, electric scales
  • Set a positive tone for the team/bakery for the day (our bakers are the first to arrive each morning!)
