Job Description
Levain Bakery is a renowned artisan bakery founded in 1995 by competitive triathletes and passionate bakers Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald. Job Requirements
- Prior baking experience in breads and cakes preferred
- Food Safety Manager Certification required
- Availability for early morning shifts between 4:30 am and 6 am
- Weekend and holiday availability
- Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced bakery environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and health standards

Job Duties
- Work alongside the Baker Team Leader and baker team to scale, mix, portion, shape, proof, and bake bread doughs and cake batters while ensuring quality
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas adhering to sanitation and health regulations
- Problem solve with Head Baker and management regarding quality, quantity, or ingredient issues
- Use kitchen tools and equipment such as stand mixers, convection/deck ovens, cutting tools, rolling pins, lames, and electric scales
- Set a positive tone for the bakery team as an early morning starter
- Collaborate closely with fellow bakers and receive mentorship from the Head Baker
- Ensure consistency and adherence to Levain’s standards of quality and taste
