Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of baking experience
- Ability to produce all aspects of bake shop including pastries, wedding cakes, and specialty items
- Working knowledge of weights and measures
- Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, beverage machines, mixers, VCR, and small wares
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Prepare dishes, follow recipes, and yield guides
- Assist in decorating cakes and pastries
- Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- Ensure all requisitions are processed properly and placed in the designated area
- Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
- Set up and break down the workstation
- Regularly run for food and restock all kitchen supplies and food items required for service
- Communicate, direct, and assist management, chef, and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
