Job Requirements

  • available for 35+ hours per week including early mornings
  • able to work most weekdays and at least one weekend day
  • prior commercial baking experience required
  • willing to follow specific recipes and bakery techniques
  • able to work early morning shifts starting at 5 am
  • no pastry degree required but beneficial
  • must have good general baking knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • experience baking in a commercial kitchen
  • knowledge of from-scratch baking techniques
  • ability to execute laminated pastries and delicate confections
  • familiarity with yeasted doughs, cakes, custards, and pies
  • good understanding of recipe following
  • willingness to learn and adapt baking methods
  • strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • lead morning bake
  • execute complex pastries including croissants and macarons
  • prepare yeasted doughs, cakes, custards, pies, laminated pastries, and confections
  • follow specific recipes and baking methods accurately
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the commercial kitchen
  • ensure all baked goods meet quality standards
  • assist in inventory management and ingredient preparation
