Job Duties

  • Make a variety of breads, pies, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries
  • Measure ingredients accurately
  • Make and shape dough
  • Manage the baking process
  • Decorate bakery products when required
  • Oversee bread counters daily to determine production needs
  • Maintain freshness of ingredients
  • Monitor bakery productivity and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Track inventory and order supplies to store manager
  • Receive merchandise from suppliers
  • Coordinate department activities and employees' work
  • Maintain workstation sanitary, clean, and organized
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety standards related to food handling and machinery
  • Utilize various bakery equipment including knives, pots, pans, ovens, and mixing machines
