We are currently seeking a Bakery Operations Support Specialist to join our New Store Opening Support team. This role is vital to the seamless launch and operational success of new franchise bakery locations. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support in various bakery stations, including cake decoration, baking, and sandwich preparation. This position involves a blend of practical baking skills and operational insights to train and assist local store teams from day one, ensuring all products and procedures meet brand specifications. The Bakery Operations Support Specialist will also play a key role in monitoring quality control, supporting food safety protocols, maintaining organized kitchen environments, and leveraging basic digital tools for reporting and inventory management. Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a commercial bakery, pastry kitchen, or food service environment
  • Hands-on experience in baking, cake decoration, or sandwich preparation preferred
  • Understanding of basic food safety, hygiene standards, and quality control practices
  • Ability to travel frequently and support new store openings on-site (domestic travel required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • able to train and support store-level staff
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with varying tasks
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data entry software
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends during store openings

Job Duties

  • Provide on-site operational support for new store openings across baking, cake decoration, and sandwich preparation stations
  • Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items including breads, pastries, cookies, and cakes according to company recipes and standards
  • Assist with decorating cakes and other desserts to meet brand presentation guidelines
  • Support local teams in implementing food safety protocols, quality standards, and hygiene practices
  • Train and educate store bakery staff and kitchen managers on standard procedures and product quality expectations
  • Monitor product quality and identify any issues during the store opening phase
  • escalate concerns and provide actionable recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

  • Track and report store readiness, training progress, and QC metrics to the HQ team
  • Conduct inventory checks of ingredients and supplies during the opening period
