Following standardized recipes and production guidelines, you will prepare and bake a variety of food items, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. Your role involves setting up your workstation efficiently with all necessary ingredients and equipment, preparing components by measuring, weighing, and mixing, and operating baking tools such as ovens, stoves, and mixers safely.
Your responsibilities also include maintaining hygienic and sanitary working conditions by cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas regularly. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a baking role preferred
- knowledge of food safety regulations and baking methods
- ability to follow detailed recipes and production guidelines
- physical capability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
- willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment as required
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
- proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- required to obtain food safety certification(s)
- demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
- operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
- safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
