Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of baking experience
  • Open availability including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and push 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift excluding a half hour break
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs at some locations
  • Must read and communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • Must have valid DOH certification and regional required food handlers certifications
  • Basic computer skills in email and Microsoft Office
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Patient and adaptable

Job Duties

  • Lead with curiosity and compassion by showing care for co-workers and build meaningful connections
  • Display a strong sense of teamwork and collaborate to ensure smooth store operations
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication with team members and management
  • Stay informed about new products, procedures, and promotions
  • Bake bread, cakes, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods following Levain Bakery recipes and quality standards
  • Measure, mix, weigh, shape, and prepare products ensuring proper consistency and technique
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to maintain quality and consistency
  • Manage daily pars to meet customer demand
  • Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures consistently
  • Perform spot checks on finished products assessing taste, smell, feel, and appearance
  • Adhere to established protocols to maintain high standards
  • Arrive on time, in uniform, ready to work
  • Stock baking ingredients appropriately using FIFO processes
  • Occasionally interact with customers, answering product questions
