Emerald Queen Casino is a premier gaming and entertainment establishment located in the heart of the Puyallup Tribe’s lands, offering an exciting and vibrant environment for guests and employees alike. Known for its exceptional casino floor, diverse gaming options, and top-tier hospitality, Emerald Queen Casino continues to uphold a strong commitment to quality service and cultural respect. The casino thrives on delivering memorable experiences that combine entertainment, dining, and cultural significance. As part of this unique and dynamic environment, employees are not only expected to perform their roles efficiently but also to contribute positively to the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that defines the Emerald Queen experience. The organization strongly embraces diversity, including Indian Preference in hiring, adhering to policies set by the Puyallup Tribe. It maintains rigorous standards to ensure safety and quality, including mandatory pre-employment drug testing and licensing requirements such as the Class III B license mandated by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office. This provides employees with a professional, secure, and supportive workplace where they can grow and be part of a community-focused operation.

The role of Baker Level II at Emerald Queen Casino is a vital position within the culinary team, specifically dedicated to preparing high-quality baked goods and desserts to support the casino and catering services. This position involves not only the technical skills required for baking but also creativity and innovation in recipe execution. The Baker Level II is responsible for preparing a variety of desserts and baked goods that meet the entertainment venue’s high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. A key focus is placed on guest satisfaction, ensuring all products contribute to an outstanding dining experience.

Starting at a competitive wage of $22.99 per hour and increasing to $24.17 upon successful completion of a 90-day orientation period, this role offers both financial incentive and a clear developmental pathway. The Baker Level II must have a solid culinary foundation, demonstrated by formal training and practical experience, to thrive in this fast-paced and demanding environment. Beyond baking, the role includes responsibilities such as maintaining cleanliness and organization within work areas, complying with food safety standards, and assisting with any additional duties as assigned by management. The physical demands of the role require the employee to be capable of handling ingredients and baked products weighing up to 40 pounds, navigating stairs routinely, and working efficiently in a smoke-filled environment. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the position involves working various shifts, including days, swings, graveyard, and holidays. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about baking, eager to contribute to a leading casino’s success, and committed to providing exceptional guest service within a culturally significant and fast-evolving hospitality setting.
