Job Requirements
- Ability to read and accurately follow recipes
- Ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, turn, kneel throughout a shift
- Self-motivated, organized, responsible, flexible
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the course of the workday
- Regular, predictable attendance
- Willingness and ability to grow to meet the changing requirements of the job
- Weekend, evening and some holidays availability
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree, certification or equivalent work experience
- Experience with vegetarian and vegan cuisine
- Professional kitchen and cooking experience
- ServSafe certification or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Duties
- Prepare deli items according to recipes and quality standards
- Provide exceptional customer service to deli customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli and kitchen areas
- Follow all health and safety regulations including ServSafe standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Support the co-op's mission by promoting local, seasonal, and sustainable food options
