Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and accurately follow recipes
  • Ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, turn, kneel throughout a shift
  • Self-motivated, organized, responsible, flexible
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the course of the workday
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Willingness and ability to grow to meet the changing requirements of the job
  • Weekend, evening and some holidays availability

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree, certification or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with vegetarian and vegan cuisine
  • Professional kitchen and cooking experience
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare deli items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service to deli customers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the deli and kitchen areas
  • Follow all health and safety regulations including ServSafe standards
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Support the co-op's mission by promoting local, seasonal, and sustainable food options
