Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience as a baker or bakery background preferred
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to work independently or in team setting
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and rules
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Ability to work under a timeline
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Good hygiene and cleanliness
  • Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled hours
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and rules
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and able to think on their feet
  • Ability to work under a timeline and meet timeline deadlines
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Knowledge and understanding of all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Good hygiene and cleanliness
  • Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled hours
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties

  • Learn all phases of the manufacturing process including tables, ovens, dividers, molders, ingredients and mix as required by leads
  • Forms, cuts, molds, shapes and bakes dough
  • Monitors baking completion times
  • Reports questionable product to the department leads
  • Ensure all process meets the customer or specification requirements and minimizes risk to the company
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
  • Utilize tools and equipment as needed to perform duties
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and SDS standards
  • Other duties as assigned
