Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous baking experience preferred
  • Valid Food Handler's card preferred
  • Ability to lift and move heavy baking supplies and equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours Monday through Friday
  • Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous baking experience
  • Valid Food Handler's card preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak production times
  • Good communication skills for customer interaction
  • Ability to maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday full-time
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with baking

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • Use proper equipment during the baking process
  • Assist with the completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
  • Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils in the work area
  • Handle food items appropriately and follow all safety regulations
  • Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner
  • Relay relevant customer concerns directly to supervisors
  • Keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
  • Complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
