Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous baking or pastry experience preferred
- ability to work full time Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
- ability to follow safety protocols including the use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- physical ability to handle baking duties and stand for extended periods
- ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Previous pastry cooking experience preferred
- ability to follow established recipes and production specifications
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- ability to work early morning shifts
- good communication and customer service skills
- ability to work efficiently under pressure
Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
- assists in production planning to meet daily requirements
- ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and production standards
- assists with the completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
- ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
- handles food items appropriately and safely during preparation and service
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly manner
- keeps up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
- follows sanitation and safety principles according to corporate and OSHA standards
- completes shift work timely and thoroughly
- performs other assigned duties
