Job Requirements

Prior baking experience preferred
Ability to follow recipes and production specifications
Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
High school diploma or equivalent
Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday
Willingness to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members

Job Qualifications

Prior baking experience preferred
Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
Ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Physical ability to handle work-related tasks including standing for extended periods

Job Duties

Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
Assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
Ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
Assist with the completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
Inform supervisor when supplies are low
Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
Handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
Keep display equipment clean and free of debris
Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
Relay relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors
Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
Check to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
Follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment
Complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner
Perform other duties as assigned
