Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous baking experience preferred
  • ability to work varying shifts including full and part time schedules
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to perform baking tasks
  • ability to interact professionally with customers
  • willingness to comply with company policies and procedures

  • knowledge of bakery operations and equipment
  • ability to follow recipes and production guidelines
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • basic math skills for measurement and inventory tracking

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following production standards
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and inventory management
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and work area
  • handle food items safely in compliance with regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally
  • keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follow sanitation and safety protocols according to corporate and OSHA standards
  • complete shift work thoroughly and timely
  • perform other assigned duties
