The role of a Baker at Aramark represents an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of their Food Services Team. This position involves baking and preparing a wide variety of foods while adhering to production guidelines and standardized recipes. Bakers at Aramark set up their workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment, prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, and chopping, and operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, and mixers. The role requires strict adherence to food safety and sanitation policies, ensuring all food is properly stored and work areas are adequately cleaned and sanitized.
Bakers also play a key role in maintaining excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety are critical since the job involves the safe use of various utensils, including knives, and following Aramark’s safety policies and procedures. The position may have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking or standing, and may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in baking or food preparation preferred
- Ability to obtain food safety certification(s)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required
- Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
- Commitment to adhere to safety and sanitation policies
- Basic math skills
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
- Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
- Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
- Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of company assets
