Job Description

Schlotzsky's Deli is a well-established casual restaurant chain known for its distinctive sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. With a strong reputation for quality and customer satisfaction, Schlotzsky's offers a fun and fast-paced work environment where teamwork and quality food preparation are top priorities. The company is expanding its footprint with a new location on Wade Hampton Blvd in Greenville, South Carolina, reflecting its growth and commitment to serving more communities with its unique deli experience.

We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Baker to join our team at the new Greenville location. This position involves preparation and baking tasks essential to maintaining the high standard of quality our customers expect. The baker will be responsible for handling a wide range of baking duties, primarily focused on producing fresh bread and other baked goods on a daily basis. Candidates should be prepared to work in a physically demanding environment where speed, stamina, and consistency are critical. The work schedule includes 10-hour shifts in a hot kitchen setting, making this role one of the most challenging yet rewarding positions within the restaurant.

Training for this role will take place at our existing location on Old Boiling Springs Rd off Pelham Rd, where new hires will learn the specific techniques, recipes, and safety protocols to succeed. While previous baking experience is a plus, it is not mandatory; however, candidates must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and perform under pressure. The hourly wage for the position ranges between $14 and $16, depending on experience.
