Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous experience as a baker or in a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice operational support role is a plus but not required
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of standing for long periods
  • Willingness to follow proprietary recipes and production methods
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Reliable work attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand written and oral directions
  • Can interpret instructional documents such as recipes, operating procedures, and health and safety rules
  • Understands basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • Can perform repetitive, physical tasks requiring strength to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Capable of operating commercial-grade ovens and bakery equipment
  • Meticulous attention to exact measurements and timing
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight, fast-paced production schedules
  • Skilled in evaluating products, processes, and environments for standard compliance
  • Disciplined with strict adherence to health and safety standards
  • Diligent, organized, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods
  • Assists baker with accurately preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking
  • Places cake pans into a hot oven and monitors the baking process
  • Assists baker with daily baking and production flow and processes
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation
  • Assists baker to ensure all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift
  • Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
  • Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
