Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of company and FDA standards, processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of restaurant/baking supplies, equipment, and services including ordering and inventory control
  • Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards
  • Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries and other baked goods
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Ability to receive, stock, and deliver goods
  • Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials
  • Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of related experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws and practices
  • Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries and other baked goods
  • Strong knowledge of company and FDA standards, processes and procedures

  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with friendly interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

Job Duties

  • Collaborates with restaurant operations team and upper leadership team
  • Must obtain a New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit
  • Protects organization's value by keeping company information confidential
  • Responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling baked goods according to restaurant recipes and specifications
  • Reviews production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake and prepare supplies and equipment
  • Shapes dough for pastries and cookies using hand techniques or industrial equipment
  • Cuts, weighs, molds, proofs, and bakes dough while inspecting product quality
  • Applies glazes, icings, or other toppings to baked goods
  • Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, deep-fat fryers and slicers
  • Reads and follows order slips or verbal instructions to bake to specifications
  • Verifies prepared products meet quality and quantity standards
  • Cleans, stocks and restocks workstations and display cases
  • Performs additional duties as assigned including assisting with other restaurant functions inside/outside of central kitchen
