Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Communicates with team members and is flexible to business needs by working in other areas
- Prepares bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- Follows recipes and make-up instructions for baking
- Wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management
- Operates, maintains, and sanitizes equipment
- Demonstrates understanding of product and layout execution
- Utilizes handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality
- Maintains work area according to company policies and procedures
- Ensures quality and date control standards for bakery items
- Secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- Eliminates waste
- Assists members with purchasing decisions
- Models high quality service and products
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards
- Completes work assignments by prioritizing and collaborating with managers and co-workers
- Adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback
