Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- communicates effectively with team members
- prepares bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment
- follows recipes and make-up instructions
- wraps, labels, and stores merchandise per company policies
- ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, cold chain, and inventory management standards
- operates, maintains, and sanitizes baking equipment
- leverages handheld technology for production decisions and merchandise ordering
- maintains a clean and member-ready work area
- ensures quality and date control of bakery items
- assists members with bakery orders and purchasing decisions
- secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise
- eliminates waste and promotes operational excellence
- complies with company policies, ethics, and safety standards
- supports member satisfaction through friendly greetings and exceptional service
- adapts to new tools and encourages team usage
- advocates for the bakery department and models high-quality service and product standards
