Job Description
Sam's Club is a leading membership-only retail warehouse club, catering to millions of members across the United States. As a subsidiary of Walmart Inc., Sam's Club focuses on delivering quality merchandise and outstanding member service with a commitment to value and convenience. The company offers a wide array of products including groceries, electronics, household goods, and specialty items, all aimed to meet the diverse needs of both individual consumers and businesses. Known for its innovative approach and dedication to operational excellence, Sam's Club fosters a dynamic and inclusive work environment where associates are encouraged to grow and succeed.
This particular role is for a Bakery/Packager Associate based at the El Monte, CA location. The position is hourly and offers a competitive wage ranging from $19.00 to $27.00 per hour, plus potential performance incentives. The Bakery/Packager Associate plays a crucial role in preparing fresh baked goods daily by following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure high product quality and freshness for members. This position requires multitasking and excellent customer service skills. Associates must be able to operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines and inventory management practices, and provide an engaging shopping experience for members.
Beyond bakery preparation, associates serve as ambassadors for the department and the company by greeting members, helping with their orders, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. The role demands flexibility and teamwork as associates may be required to assist in other areas of the store based on business needs. Technological acumen is valuable, as associates leverage handheld digital tools for inventory control, ordering, training, and quality assurance, all aimed at enhancing member satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Sam's Club offers comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, dental coverage, 401(k) plans, stock purchase opportunities, company-paid life insurance, paid time off including parental leave and family care leave, short-term and long-term disability insurance, military leave pay, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement. Additionally, the Live Better U education program supports associates with tuition-free educational opportunities from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and certifications. These benefits, combined with a collaborative work environment, make Sam's Club a rewarding employer dedicated to the well-being and development of its team members.
