Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in baking or food preparation is an advantage
- Ability to operate bakery equipment and follow recipes accurately
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with members
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic digital literacy including use of handheld technology
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Communicates with team members and adapts to business needs
- Prepares bakery merchandise using baking equipment following recipes and make-up instructions
- Wraps, labels, and stores merchandise according to company policies
- Ensures compliance with food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory management
- Operates, maintains, and sanitizes baking equipment
- Assists members with purchasing decisions and answers questions
- Maintains clean and organized work area
- Uses digital tools and handheld technology to improve operations
- Upholds quality and date control standards
- Demonstrates energy, commitment, and passion for the work
- Implements company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics
- Completes work assignments by collaborating with managers and coworkers
- Communicates progress and seeks improvement opportunities
- Adapts to change, difficulties, and feedback
