The Baker - Froster role at Nothing Bundt Cakes offers an exciting and dynamic opportunity for individuals who are energetic and career-minded, whether they are just beginning in the culinary field or have prior baking experience. This position is permanent and year-round, ideal for candidates who have full availability and are willing to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays to meet the bakery’s production needs. No prior experience is required as thorough training is provided to ensure the selected individual can bake and frost a variety of cakes up to NbC’s exacting standards and time requirements. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
As a Baker - Froster, the individual will be responsible for producing consistently high-quality cakes by strictly following proprietary recipes, production methods, and food safety standards. The role involves repetitive baking and frosting tasks conducted with precision to meet productivity goals. The Baker - Froster will also maintain baking and frosting stations, ensuring they remain clean, sanitized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Inventory management plays a key part in this position, requiring the candidate to track ingredient and material levels, and assist management in ordering to maintain adequate par levels.

- Must have the flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business demands

Job Qualifications
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- previous experience as a baker or in a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice operational support role is a plus
- ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents such as recipes, operating procedures, and health and safety rules
- ability to perform repetitious, physical tasks requiring strength to lift as much as 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- ability to operate commercial-grade ovens and work adjacent to high-heat sources
- meticulous attention to exact measurements, timing, and working in a fast-paced production environment
- ability to evaluate products, processes, and surroundings for standard compliance
- strong discipline to adhere to health and safety standards
- diligent, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
- effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake and frost cakes
- adheres to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked and frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs
- assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plan, monitors inventory of baking and frosting supplies and notifies management when supply replenishment is required
- evaluates raw ingredients and baked/frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues
- cleans, sanitizes and restocks the workstation and ensures all baking/frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift
- washes dishes, sweeps, mops as necessary
- complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
- maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
