Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 60 pounds
- Willingness to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts including evenings and overnight
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and production instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to health and safety standards
- Regular and timely attendance
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and near moving machinery
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a bakery or food preparation environment is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully with guests and personnel
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively in a dynamic work setting
- Knowledge and adherence to safety protocols and equipment handling
- Understanding of retail food business and perishable department operations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- Adhere to all health department guidelines and sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production levels
- Maintain food safety logs and ensure quality standards are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily
- Collaborate with bakery associates to meet department goals and support a positive team environment
- Attend work regularly and timely, providing adequate notice for replacements when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team
