The role of Baker at Sendik's Food Markets involves much more than the traditional baking tasks. The Baker acts as a frontline ambassador of the Sendik's culture by consistently delivering "best in class" service to every guest. Job Duties
- serve customers in the bakery department while modeling sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service including greeting engaging delighting and thanking every guest for their business
- prepare proof and bake products for the bakery case and sales floor including breads rolls donuts and muffins while ensuring quality of product meets company standards
- apply toppings such as icing glaze and seeds to baked products
- measure and mix ingredients in accordance with recipes
- develop and follow a daily production schedule to ensure the department is prepared for the following day
- track department inventory to ensure the correct quantity and variety of product is baked
- operate maintain and clean baking equipment including ovens proofers knives and mixers
