Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 due to bakery equipment operation
- Prior baking experience preferred
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work fast and meet deadlines
- Physically able to stand walk lift bend push and pull for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be a team player and proactive

Job Duties
- Serve customers in the bakery department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing best in class customer service including greeting engaging delighting and thanking every guest
- Prepare proof and bake bakery products including breads rolls donuts and muffins ensuring quality meets company standards
- Apply toppings such as icing glaze and seeds to baked products
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Develop and follow a production schedule to ensure bakery is prepared
- Track department inventory and assist in ordering supplies
- Operate maintain and clean baking equipment including ovens proofers knives and mixers
- Package and price bakery items
- Organize and store bakery supplies
- Assist in training and mentoring new bakery associates
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety and sanitation regulations
