This Bakery Crew Member role at Golden Corral is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for baking and a desire to develop their skills in a hands-on environment. The position involves preparing a wide variety of baked goods including cookies, cakes, cobblers, pies, bread, and biscuits, essentially running your own mini bakery within the restaurant. The Bakery Crew Member will engage in food production, operational excellence, guest service, and cleanliness to ensure all bakery products meet the high standards that Golden Corral is known for. Responsibilities include preparing hand-made yeast rolls, cakes, pies, and specialty desserts, maintaining product freshness and quality, ensuring proper portioning and recipe yields, and adhering strictly to the Bakery and Dessert Café Production Guide. In addition to weekday duties, this role also includes preparing breakfast bakery items on weekends to meet guest needs, emphasizing flexibility and adaptability.

Guest service is a vital component of this role. Crew members are expected to be friendly and courteous, assisting guests with baked goods and ensuring just-in-time delivery of products. Cleanliness standards are strictly enforced following local health department laws and internal duty rosters to maintain a safe and pleasant bakery environment.

The position is salaried on an hourly basis, ranging from $13.00 to $16.00 per hour, reflecting experience and skill level. Job Duties

  • Prepares hand-made yeast rolls, cakes, pies, specialty desserts and other baked items

  • Ensures that every product in the bakery is always fresh, tasty, visually appealing and hot, when appropriate
  • Maintains quality by preparing all products following Golden Corral recipes and standards
  • Maintains proper portioning and recipe yields
  • Follows the Bakery and Dessert Café Production Guide
  • Is friendly and courteous to guests and assists them with baked goods
  • Knows and follows position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery
  • Performs duty roster and meets cleanliness, service, and quality standards
